Youth asked to embrace Sports to nurture talents
Thousands of spectators flocked Mungonya playground in Kararo, Kyeizooba, Bushenyi district to watch 8th edition of Bushenyi under 17 league cup finals between Nyabubare and Mashonga fc.
While officiating the function, Dan Mugura Karukiiko hailed the organizers noting that this will help young people to discover their talents.
Mugura urged people to support sports saying that sports are no longer a wastage of time, rather the sports are looked at as a major source of employment to youths.
He however appealed to players to continue with their studies not to focus on sports saying sports are helpful to those who are educated.
Sharif Nuwagaba, the chairperson Bushenyi under 17 league said that this tournament started with the aim of bringing youth together and discovering talents of different people from Bushenyi district and over 300 have so far benefited through acquiring scholarships at different levels of education.
Nyabubare young stars fc defeated Mashonga fc 2-0 in the 90-minute game play and the winning team was given a trophy and sets of uniforms.
