37 year old man murdered by unknown assailants in Buhweju
Police in Buhweju are investigating circumstances under which a 37 year old man was killed by unknown assailants.
Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Nema Gabudiyoza, a resident of Nyungu Village, Rukiri Parish, Bihanga sub-county in Buhweju District.
The incident which is said to have happened on 21/01/2023 at around 1:00 AM was reported to the police by Akitwine Didas,38, a peasant and also resident of the above named address.
It is alleged that the deceased was attacked by unidentified assailants as he was returning to his home from Kigali Trading Centre.
When the deceased was attacked, the assailants speared him in the stomach and the spearhead got broken and stuck in the victim.
When he was found, he was in a critical condition and he was rushed to Kagongo Hospital in Ibanda District and letter passed away from the injuries sustained in the attack.
The Scene of crime was visited and documented by the local area police led by the OC Bihanga Police Station and investigations into the matter continue.
