UPDF sets net in Greater Bushenyi
A total of 130 youth from Bushenyi and Mitooma districts have joined the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) following a recruitment exercise held at Bushenyi district headquarters yesterday. The exercise is part of the ongoing nationwide UPDF recruitment drive.
William Donanto Katsigazi, Bushenyi District Resident District Commissioner emphasized his role in overseeing the recruitment process which continues today and tomorrow in the neighboring districts of Sheema, Rubirizi, and Buhweju within greater Bushenyi.
Katsigazi announced that 67 youths from Bushenyi and 54 from Mitooma are set to undergo training after successfully passing the recruitment. He assured the public that the process was free of corruption as the shortlist was handled directly by the UPDF headquarters in Bombo.
The RDC issued a stern warning against bribery, emphasizing that the government will not tolerate any attempts by individuals to bribe officers, even if it means parents selling property to do so.
