Rev.Kachampire withdraws candidature, returns to spiritual calling
Ben Kachampire, a former lay leader under Kazo Archdeaconry who had recently stepped down from his church role to pursue a political career in Kazo Sub County has announced his decision to withdraw from politics and return to his spiritual calling.
During a meeting held at the old Church of Uganda in Kazo Archdeaconry this afternoon, church leaders including Rev. Festo Mwebaza acting on behalf of Rev. Canon Kwesiga Emmanuel, the Kazo Archdeacon urged Kachampire to resume his service in the church and continue serving God.
In response, Kachampire publicly announced his withdrawal from the political race apologizing to his supporters and emphasizing the importance of heeding the counsel of elders to serve God’s purpose. He expressed gratitude for the support received during his political pursuit and pledged to dedicate himself fully to church work.
Retired Can. Rev. Adrame Tugaine confirmed that the church facilitated the meeting and described Kakyampire’s decision as a divine calling from God highlighting the significance of spiritual service over political ambitions at this time.
The move has been met with support from church members and community leaders who commend Kachampire for prioritizing his faith and service to God.
