
Investigations Underway in Bushenyi Drowning Incident
Authorities in Bushenyi District are investigating circumstances under which a middle-aged man drowned in a fish pond.The incident occurred on November 13, 2024, in Kitwe Cell, Rwentuha Town Council.
The body of an unidentified man was discovered floating in a pond owned by Mzee Nekemia Matembe, husband to Miria K. Matembe on Wednesday at around 6:40 a.m. The deceased was described as small-bodied, tall, medium-sized man believed to be in his early thirties. He was dressed in a blue shirt, blue trousers, and black shoes.
Martial Tumusiime, the police mouthpiece for Greater Bushenyi region stated that the identity of the man is still unknown and the deceased’s body was sent to Kitagata General Hospital for a postmortem as investigations into circumstances surrounding his death continue continue.
