Gambling leaves one dead in Kiruhura
Residents and local leaders of Nshwere Empago cell in Rushere town council, Kiruhura district were shaken by a tragic incident yesterday involving the killing of a fellow resident over a game of cards and money. The incident reportedly involved two laborers who had been working for Rukundugu Daniel, a resident of the same cell.
The deceased has been identified as Agaba Eric, 36 years old who was allegedly murdered by Kakoza James. According to reports, the suspect is currently on the run and police are actively searching for him.
Abaho David Kooya, the Chairman of the Nshwere Empango Local Council disclosed that Kakoza James has a history of drug and alcohol abuse as well as criminal behavior. He issued a warning to families, advising them to be cautious when employing workers without proper identification and clear addresses to prevent such incidents in the future.
