Un identified man allegedly murdered-Police
The territorial police in Kabale district are investigating the mysterious death of an unidentified male adult whose body was discovered along Nyakijumba Mwanjari Road in Rushaki cell, Southern Division of Kabale Municipality.
According the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate, the deceased’s body was discovered on the morning of December 15, 2025, believed to have been murdered during the night of December 14 at an unknown time. The area chairperson, Namara John Fisher reported the incident to the police prompting an immediate response.
Police officers, including the district CID officer D/ASP Tumwine Nelson visited the crime scene which was thoroughly processed and documented. The police also called in the K-9 unit to assist in tracing the possible suspects but their efforts yielded no clues.
Witnesses in the area have been interviewed and the body was retrieved from the scene. Authorities noted that the victim had fresh injuries on the head and was dressed in suspected bloodstained clothes. The body was transported to Kabale Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities are urging anyone with information or who may be missing a relative matching the description to visit the hospital mortuary for identification. The community is advised to remain vigilant as police continue their inquiries into this tragic incident.
