City pastor arrested for defilement of a 14 year old girl while pretending to pray for family

Police in Kampala have arrested a city Pastor identified as Jimmy Bbaale, on allegations of defiling a 14 year old girl after pretending to pray for the family and providing care to the girl’s relatives.
According to investigators, when Kampala businessman Bruno Francis Bazibu who was head of the home was arrested and detained for over two years, Pr. Bbaale came to his home and pretended that he was to care and pray for the family since Bazibu was away battling with a court case.
Pr. Bbale thus won trust of the family and took advantage to defile one of the girls at home but for fear of reprisal from the pastor, Bazibu’s family didn’t report the matter to police.
However, upon release, Bazibu reported the matter and Bbaale was arrested and detained at Katwe police station.
Luke Owoyesigire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan, confirmed the arrest saying the pastor is detained at Katwe Police while the officers at Kampala Metropolitan Police South headquarters continue with the investigations into allegations of aggravated defilement.
“All the necessary procedures supposed to be followed while investigating a case of that nature have been done,”Owoyesigyire noted.
