Bishop bans coins and indecent dressing from church in Kasese.
Female christians dressed like ‘models in a beauty contest‘ have been banned from attending church services in the entire Catholic Diocese of Kasese.
The ban issued by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Francis Acquirinus Kibira, directed that no one should attend Church services indecently dressed.
Bishop Kibira expressed disappointment over women who go to church indecently dressed saying the act exposes your nakedness to the priests, fellow Christians and Jesus Christ.
According to the prelate, some women are misinformed that putting on mini-skirts will influence men to develop the desire to marry them and assured them that no normal man would want to marry such a woman.
Bishop Kibira advised women to emulate the dressing code of the Blessed Virgin Mary, asking mothers to respect their bodies and teach their children the best dressing code in public and before the Lord.
Bishop Kibira further told the parents in the diocese to stop giving their children coins for offertories saying it disgraces God especially when Christians are spending huge amounts of money on celebrations, items like clothes and other property.
The bishop also questioned the type of virtues believers are instilling in their children when they dress expensively but give them coins to offer to God.
