Isingiro man wanted over wife and daughter’s murder.
Police in Isingiro are hunting for a man who allegedly murdered his wife and daughter on Tuesday night using a panga, before disappearing.
Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police Spokesperson confirmed the incident and identified the suspect as Yowasi Ndyanabo, a peasant.
It is said that Ndyanabo murdered his wife and their two year daughter using a panga, he later called his relatives at around 10 PM on the fateful night informing them of the act he had committed before he went into hiding.
The bodies of the deceased were on Wednesday found in a banana plantation near Nyakitunda secondary school and they were identified as Marion Kyokusiima,30, a resident of Bugongi Cell, Kihiihi Parish in Nyakitunda sub-county in Isingiro district and her two-year-old daughter.
Kasasira said the two bodies were taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for Post-mortem as efforts to apprehend the suspect are underway.
