18-year-old arrested for burning his father’s house
Police in Bushenyi is holding an 18-year-old man for allegedly setting his parent’s residential house ablaze following a misunderstanding.
The suspect’s father, Ronald Twijukye, a resident of Bwegiragye cell Ward III, Ishaka division, revealed that Owen Twijukye set ablaze his house after having a family disagreement.
Speaking to our reporter, the father said that after a small disagreement, his son vowed to either kill him or do something that he will never forget and he was shocked to later find his house on fire.
Francis Matsiko, the LC I chairperson Bwegyiragye cell condemned the act and said the suspect was arrested and is now being detained at Basajabalaba police post as investigations into the matter continue.
