Rehabilitation of boreholes begins in Bushenyi
Bushenyi district has launched the rehabilitation of 16 water sources worth UGX 33.98 Million to extend safer and clean water to the residents.
In a function held at Nkoni two, in Karaaro, Kyeizooba sub-county, the Deputy RDC Bushenyi, Atuhaire Rosemary, called on local councils in the proximity where the rehabilitation works are to be done, to closely oversee the work being done for the contractor to produce standard work.
Additionally, Atuhaire warned parents to closely monitor the whereabouts of their children during the holiday and protect them from the deadly vice of homosexuality and other dangers.
The district Vice Chairperson, Peter Mugume Ndyahoza said that the 16 water sources to be rehabilitated were selected through the district council from among the many that need to be rehabilitated.
The water sources to be rehabilitated are the boreholes, shallow wells and protected springs which have spent long without operating.
