Police probe disappearance of 14 year old from school
Police in Mbarara district are investigating the disappearance of a senior one student of St Andrews secondary school Rubindi who went missing almost a month ago.
Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi region police spokesperson said that on 28th march, they received information that Devine Ainamani, a 14-year-old boy went missing from school and they have started investigations to trace his whereabouts.
Innocent Natukunda, the mother of Divine Ainamani said that on Holy Thursday, she went to school to pick her child for Easter holidays but unfortunately he was not traceable.
Natukunda attributed her son’s disappearance to the school administration’s negligence and being uncooperative in the search for the boy.
Didas Tabaro, the Mbarara district chairperson who is following up the matter also blamed the school administration for negligence.
Efforts to get a comment from school head teacher, Herbert Bayo were futile as he was not in office at the time our reporter visited the school and all phone calls went unanswered.
