Rwampara residents overjoyed over new borehole
Residents of Rwegwe cell, Rwansinga parish, Ndeija sub country in Rwampara district are overjoyed following the completion of a borehole in their area.
Speaking during the commissioning of the borehole, Molly Asiimwe, the area woman Member of Parliament for Rwampara district noted that with this source of clean water, the sanitation will improve.
Molly urged the community to properly look after this water source by fencing, maintaining and utilizing it carefully.
A section of residents who talked to our reporter said it is a big relief since they have been trekking long distances in search of clean water.
The residents of Rwegwe cell added that they will no longer be using dirty water for domestic use.
The newly commissioned borehole was constructed as a donation by the Nile Humanitarian Development Agency at a cost UGX 18 million.
