Rt Rev Bishop Steven Namanya, the Bishop of north Ankole diocese has asked Christians in Kyengando parish, Engari Sub-county, Kazo district to keep united as they receive the incoming bishop and work closely with him.

Bishop Namanya made the remarks at Kyengando Church of Uganda during his farewell service on Sunday.

Bishop Namanya is expected to retire 2024 as per the constitutional requirements regarding bishops of the Church of Uganda whereby Bishops are supposed to only serve until their 65th birthday. At the age of 65 bishops must retire.
