Kazo: One arrested for conniving with cattle thieves
Police in Kazo district are holding the village chairperson for allegedly conniving with a cattle thief in Rwamagufa –Kitongore, Kanoni sub-county, Kazo district.
John Lukooto, the Kazo district police commander (DPC) confirmed the development saying on Tuesday, they arrested a one Tumushabe Gervasio, for issuing a moving permit to a cattle thief identified as Agaba Kenneth who stole cows for her boss, Flavia Agasha.
He cautioned and condemned the vice of the leaders who issue moving permits to people and they end up stealing other people’s property.
Lukooto revealed that the Police have so far received 7 cases in August and 11 cases of cattle theft in July noting that cattle theft decreased since the month of August.
Lukooto further urged all people to be vigilant and report to police incase they see the suspect (Agaba Kenneth) who is still at large to be taken to courts of law and charged.
Agaba is said to have migrated after he was found involved in the act stealing cows.
