32-year-old man arrested for defiling his 4-year-old daughter
Police in Rubirizi District are holding a 32-year-old man on charges of defiling his 4-year-old biological daughter.
Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson identified the suspect as Ibrahim Ssentongo, a peasant and a resident of Mugogo 11 village, Ryeru Sub-County in Rubirizi District.
Tumusiime said the suspect separated with the victim’s mother about three years ago and early this year she brought two children (the victim and her brother) back to their father.
Police said that the suspect used this chance of absence of the mother to sexually abuse his daughter.
It is said that on 19th September, a one Kyarimpa Ronia reported to Pamela Musimenta, a member of the Village Health Team (VHT), that Ssentogo was found defiling his biological daughter.
According to Pamela Musimenta, 34, a member of VHT and resident of Mugogo ll village, Mugogo parish, Ryeru sub-county in Rubirizi District, the victim was tested and found out that she has been defiled several times.
According to Tumusiime, the suspect has since been apprehended and investigations into the matter continue.
