30 year old man wanted for murder
Police in Mbarara City are hunting for a 30-year-old man who allegedly murdered his wife.
Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson identified the suspect only as Isaac, a boda boda rider operating at Rwebikoona.
Isaac allegedly murdered Lydia Katusiime alias Nalongo, 40, a food vendor, and resident of Nkokonjeru cell in Mbarara City North division.
Kasasira revealed that upon receiving the information, the police were able to swiftly rush to scene and found the deceased’s body lying in a pool of blood by the roadside in Nkokonjeru cell with some utensils and saucepans besides the body.
According to Kasasira, the deceased had a deep cut wound on the right hand side of the neck.
The body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem examination as the hunt for the suspect and investigations into the matter continue.
