Kabwohe HC IV gets UGX 2.4bn for rehabilitation
Government of Uganda through ministry of health has allocated UGX 2.4Bn towards rehabilitation of Kabwohe health centre IV in Sheema municipality, Sheema district.
Built in 1954, Kabwohe health centre IV has since never been rehabilitated and this has necessitated the government to work on it.
Samuel Ahabwe, the Sheema municipal council town clerk said the works will soon commence and the engineers from the Uganda peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) Engineers brigade are expected to take up the job of building a storeyed building which will house Out-and-In patients wards, maternity wards, theatre and hospital labs.
Ahabwe asked health workers to handle patients who come to get health care services with care.
Dickson Kateshumbwa, the Sheema municipality MP revealed that the health facility handles over 240 maternal patients per month who come from different districts of Sheema, Buhweju, Bushenyi and Mbarara therefore needed to be rehabilitated.
