Kazo District Community Development Officer laid to rest.
Muhangi Henry, the Kazo district community development officer, was on Tuesday laid to rest in his ancestral home in Kibingo cell, Katojo Ward, Mbarara south Division -Mbarara city.
Muhangi, 44, died in a road accident that happened on Palm Sunday at Kanyaryeru along Mbarara-Lyantonde Road.
Zirimenya Nsubuga, the Chief Administrative Officer Kazo district described the deceased as a humble, honest and exceptional worker who swiftly responded to office work without complaints.
Nsubuga noted that Muhangi’s commitment, good behavior and intelligence in how to conduct his duties at the district was exemplary and tasked other government workers to emulate him.
Speaking on behalf of political leaders, Dan Nahurira Bwamunyonga, the district speaker described the deceased as a person who had a unique character, always humourous, laughing with everybody.
He added that the deceased was one of the 27 people who were pioneers in the establishment of Kazo district in 2019.
Tusiime George Henry, the deceased’s elder brother noted that Muhangi not only was his brother good at his job, but he also was at the forefront of uniting the family as the chairperson.
Father Zeddy Byabashaija of Rubindi parish who led the send-off mass, asked mourners to know God, love fellow and serve God as they try to live fulfilled lives.
Henry Muhangi left a wife and five children.
At the time of his death, Muhangi who was acting as the district community development officer Kazo had already been submitted for confirmation into that position.
