
Kazo: Best Performing pupils rewarded
Kazo model primary school has recognized and awarded the best performing pupils in PLE 2022.
The thanksgiving ceremony for outstanding performers in PLE 2022 was organized by OBs and OGs of the school under their umbrella body, Kazo Primary School old Students Association (KAPSA) and held at the Kazo town council-based school on Wednesday.
Speaking at this function, Frank Kanduho, a member of KAPSA representing the chairperson of this association Dr. Byamukama Denis appreciated the school management for utilizing their funds well by showing accountability.
Kanduho further urged the school to always involve their learners in hands-on activities and other traditional activities in order to ensure they are well nurtured.
Rev Samuel Mugisha Katugunda, the Kazo district LC V chairperson challenged the school to allow poor people to also bring their children to this school rather than asking for a lot of money.

Hon Jennifer Muheesi, the woman Member of Parliament for Kazo district, urged other schools to copy and take an example of Kazo model primary school as parents go back to their schools.
Speaking as the function’s chief guest, Hon Dan Atwijukire Kimosho, the Member of Parliament Kazo constituency appreciated the school management for maintaining the effort and called upon parents to wake up and support their school by giving the small they are asked, to maintain the school performance.

Sam Murarira Kanduho, the Kazo model primary head teacher told our reporter that the good performance came up as a result of a collective effort of both parents and teachers.

The school registered 55 pupils in first Grade in 2022 and these outstanding learners were rewarded with mattresses, mathematical sets, and certificates while the best performing teachers were also given money and the teacher of good performing subject (Social studies) was given a prize of UGX 1m.
