Two stabbed over UGX 1000 in Sheema
Police in Sheema are hunting for a thug who stabbed two people on Thursday at Ryensibo cell, Kyangundu ward Kakindo town council in Sheema District.
Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson identified the victims as Benjamin Nuwabimpa, 23, a resident of Mahenga village Rushozi ward in Sheema District and Ivan Tugume, 32, a resident of Nkyuzi village Kakindo in Sheema District.
Tumusiime revealed that on Wednesday night at around 3am, Tugume and Nuwabimpa were coming from watching football and on their way back home, they met a stranger who asked them for UGX 1000.
Tugume gave him the money, but he suddenly turned and stabbed Nuwabimpa in the chest and Tugume on his left hand using a knife.
The two victims were rushed to ICOBI Hospital in Kabwohe for treatment and they are currently admitted. The motive for this action is still unknown.
Tumusiime urged the people to be vigilant especially during the Christmas season.
