Bushenyi: Thieves raid Bumbaire Sacco
Police in Bushenyi district are investigating the circumstances under which unknown thugs broke into Bumbaire Sacco and stole an unspecified amount of money on Sunday night.
Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said they have arrested two security guards attached to Agro security to help police with investigations.
Celestine Bagampangire, the LC III chairman, Bumbaire sub-county said that they were shocked to find the bank open and security guards tied up with ropes and their guns lying beside them on Monday morning.
Bagampangire added that the thugs accessed the Sacco premises after they broke the main door of the Sacco, raided the Sacco offices and run way with the Sacco office phone and unknown amount of money.
By press time, Adonia Tushemirirwe, the Sacco general manager had not commented on the matter.
