Nyamitanga Technical Institute gives back to Community
As one way of giving back to community Nyamitanga Technical Institution has launched a series of activities as part of corporate social responsibility ahead of its first graduation scheduled to take place on Thursday 17th Nov 2022 at the institute.
Addressing the media during the general cleaning of Kijungu, Mbarara city south division, Gilvazio Bafaki, the Principal Nyamitanga Technical institute noted that various activities will be done in the graduation week including helping the needy by connecting them to electricity, water and motor vehicle mechanics all at a free cost.
Principal Bafaki revealed that they have already handed over a renovated house in Nsikye trading center which was at the verge of collapsing to an elderly woman identified as Hadija Nakate.
Hadija Nakate appreciated Nyamitanga technical institute for renovating her house saying she had never expected at one time to have a cemented house with glass windows and a metallic door.
According to Bafaki, other activities to be presided over by the guest of honour, Janet Kataha Museveni, the first lady and the minister of education and sports include; commissioning the Uganda skills development project industrial maintenance workshop and unveiling a foundation stone on the six storey classroom blocks.
Since it was founded in 1953, Nyamitanga technical institutes is set to hold its first ever graduation and a total of over 4671 students are expected to graduate in various academic disciplines.
